City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> October 10,2018 <br /> Council Member Montain questioned how many weeks for the cutting season and Administrator <br /> Statz stated that it can be from 22 to 26 weeks per year with the City ending the season due to <br /> weather/growth period. Council Member Montain also questioned fertilization and whether RJ <br /> Property Maintenance, Inc. provided those services. Administrator Statz stated that Requests for <br /> Proposals have been forwarded to vendors including RJ Property Maintenance, Inc. and we are <br /> awaiting their submissions. He reported that Public Works Director Palzer has suggested double <br /> cutting of sites rather than bagging services in an attempt to remain fiscally responsible as <br /> bagging service increased dramatically. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Award RJ <br /> Property Maintenance, Inc. a Contract for Lawn Mowing Services for 2019-2021 Per Their <br /> Submitted Bid. All in Favor. Motion Carried. <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Administrator Statz stated that as Council is aware that the City of Lino Lakes is currently <br /> reconstructing their portion of LaMotte Drive and LaMotte Circle. He stated that he was <br /> approached by the City of Lino Lakes for their residents to have the ability to utilize Laurie <br /> LaMotte Memorial Park temporarily for overnight parking and only if they did not have access <br /> to their driveways during the construction period. He also stated that he permitted this action <br /> feeling that it was a "neighborly" gesture and no harm would come of it. He stated that he <br /> notified the Centennial Lakes Police Department of this action and informed the City of Lino <br /> Lakes if it became a problem with loitering, theft, etc. the parking would be terminated. He <br /> reported that he has received several complaints from a Centerville resident regarding the <br /> additional wear and tear of the roadway due to "excessive" traffic and weight of vehicles, <br /> Centerville resident's tax dollars and the degradation of the roadway. Administrator Statz <br /> reported that he requested weight tickets for the hauling vehicles and was presented them by the <br /> City of Lino with all being under the 7 Ton rating of the roadway. He reminded Council that the <br /> road is a public road, was built to a 7 Ton specification and Staff will continue to monitor its use <br /> during this construction project. <br /> Administrator Statz reported that Staff is inspecting weirs/baffles in several areas of town, <br /> explained that the structures are a part of the storm water system and would be addressed in the <br /> storm water plan with associated maintenance. He reported that he had met with a resident who <br /> had several concerns near their property. <br /> Administrator Statz also reported that he had attended a Quad Area Chamber meeting earlier in <br /> the day. He stated that the group is comprised of many different businesses and allows for <br /> networking opportunities. <br /> Council Member Montain reported that the Parks & Recreation Committee was currently <br /> meeting in the Administrative offices and he is unable to attend this evening due to his <br /> participation in the Council meeting. <br /> Council Member Koski provided Council with a brief overview of the Planning & Zoning <br /> Commission stating that discussion was had regarding possible revisions to Alex's Lawn & Turf <br /> landscaping Conditional Use Permit; number of docks for Bay View Villas and final plat coming <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
