City of Centerville <br /> EDA Meeting Minutes <br /> August 27,2018 <br /> Attorney Glaser reviewed the Open Meeting Law and additional laws that pertain to the <br /> Commission. <br /> VI. OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. None. <br /> VII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Resolution #EDA 18-01 —Adopting By-Laws <br /> Administrator Statz stated that By-Laws are a requirement of the Authority and the presented <br /> By-Laws have been provided by the City's Legal Counsel. <br /> Motion made by Commissioner Hanzal, seconded by Commissioner Kine to Adopt <br /> Resolution #EDA 18-01 —By-Laws as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 2. Resolution #EDA 18-02 —Selecting Officers <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the positions are also a required of the law and are as follows: <br /> President, Vice President, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and Secretary. He stated that the <br /> Assistant Treasurer and Secretary were not required to be members of the Commission. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Spanier, seconded by Commission Member Hanzal to Adopt <br /> Resolution #EDA 18-02 —Selecting Officers as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 3. Resolution #EDA 18-03 —Setting Regular Meeting Dates <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the Commission must set a regular meeting schedule. Brief <br /> discussion was had by the Commission and it was determined that their regular meeting schedule <br /> would be the 3rd Wednesday of every month, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Kine, seconded by Commission Member Spanier to Adopt <br /> Resolution #EDA 18-03 — Setting Regular Meeting Dates as presented. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 4. Resolution #EDA 18-04—Naming Depository <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the Commission was budgeted $1,000 for 2018 and he stated that <br /> he felt Council would budget up to $20,000 for 2019. He also stated that by law, a depository <br /> must be named and it was felt that MidWestOne Bank, 7111 — 21st Avenue is the City's <br /> depository and would make sense to utilize the same institution for convenience. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Weatherhead, seconded by Commissioner Spanier to Adopt <br /> Resolution #EDA 18-04—Naming Depository as presented.
