City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Committee <br /> November 7,2018 <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Seeley to recommend to the City Council to approve the <br /> expenditure of up to $1,000 towards the cost of the havride plus any <br /> incidentals needed for this activity. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 4. Scooters/Motorized Bikes <br /> There were concerns about children riding on the streets; discussed to possibly <br /> stencil information on streets &paths for shared usage. <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Wae2he, seconded by Committee <br /> Member Errickson-Grahek to place this topic on the December agenda for <br /> further review, discussion, evaluation and to determine if there should be <br /> changes to the ordinance(s). All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> This motion overrides the portion of the motion dated October 10, 2018 regarding <br /> the Scooters/Motorized Bikes. <br /> V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS (NEW) -NONE <br /> IV. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> Motion by Committee Member Wae2he, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Errickson-Grahek to approve the minutes of the October 10, 2018 regular meeting <br /> as submitted. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VII. UPDATES/ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> 1. Council Update—Council Member Montain <br /> a. RJ Property & Maintenance is the new contractor for lawn mowing services <br /> for City owned property. <br /> b. Budget was increased by a few thousand dollars. <br /> c. Anoka County Fire Maintenance plan to set up a mobile unit during the Fete <br /> des Lacs, using drones, radio communications, demonstrating equipment and <br /> showcased their unit. <br /> 2. P & R Vacancy <br /> The city is currently accepting applications for the position. <br /> 3. Staff Update <br /> a. Bayview Villas was approved for 18 units. There is approximately $75,000 <br /> value in park fees. <br /> b. Anoka County Regional Park Plan is moving forward, including signage for <br /> the Burial Mound. <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />
