City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> February 27,2019 <br /> incorporate the lakes, the city's history and Council Member Lakso suggested the convenience to <br /> the freeways and both Minneapolis and St. Paul. <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that no action needed to be taken to appoint Mayor Paar to this Ad Hoc <br /> Committee. <br /> 2. Schedule Joint Committee Goal Setting Meeting <br /> Administrator Statz stated that Staff is slightly behind with the preparation of the 2019 Goals but <br /> typically Council schedules a Goal Setting Session with all Committees/Commissions to obtain <br /> input from them and he would like to schedule this session shortly. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to Schedule a <br /> Joint Committee Goal Setting Session for March 27, 2019 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Paar reminded staff to post said session and express the importance of attendance and <br /> participation by Committee/Commission members. <br /> 3. Soil Boring Proposal for Block 7 "Removed from the Agenda" <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> 1. Administrator/Engineer Report <br /> Administrator Statz stated that his report was in the packet and he would be happy to answer any <br /> questions that Council had. He reported that Staff has completed interviews of six (6) <br /> candidates, Staff will be conducting reference checks and bring before Council a <br /> recommendation for hire. He also reported that the EDA meeting was cancelled due to lack of <br /> submitted plans for the downtown area. The developer will be submitting a Concept Plan along <br /> with a market study shortly. He stated that Midwest Best Water is preparing Concept Plans prior <br /> to moving forward and that he has met with numerous business owners regarding code issues. <br /> He also reported that he and Staff have been working on a low cost mini-festival to be held the <br /> same evenings as the Bald Eagle Water Ski Shows (food trucks, vendors and other options) in <br /> Corner Stone Park. <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that April 26, 2019 is Law Day at the Anoka County Court House which <br /> has been extremely popular in the past. He stated that they offer clinics to residents to resolve <br /> outstanding warrants for criminal misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors and discuss resolution <br /> of outstanding issues in some felony cases, provide an opportunity to talk to officials from the <br /> MN DPS Division of Driver & Vehicle Services about reinstating suspended driver's licenses, <br /> they assist in the beginning processes of expunging adult, juvenile and eviction court records, <br /> they also will assist with family law issues, provide forms and schedule court dates and obtain <br /> information about conservator account auditing program and legal advice about <br /> conservatorships, power of attorney and guardianships.
