City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> February 27,2019 <br /> Council Member Lakso stated that she had recently attended training through the League of MN <br /> Cities where she learned the style of communicator she was. She stated that teambuilding should <br /> be discussed. Mayor Paar also concurred and stated that Administrator Statz has been looking <br /> for Work Session topics. <br /> Council Member Love stated that he presented at all three session associated with the League of <br /> MN Cities conference and has been asked to present to the Woodbury City Council about the <br /> positive attributes of a Council Member. <br /> Mayor Paar thanked Council Member Love for representing the City of Centerville and Council <br /> Member Lakso also stated that he did a great job at the recent conference and valued him a lot. <br /> Council Member Koski stated that due to a prior engagement he was unable to attend this year's <br /> Lions Fishing Contest, stated that he hoped the event went well and stated that he appreciated <br /> them for putting on the event. <br /> Council Member Montain stated that the North Metro Cable Commission was cancelled but <br /> franchise fee checks were approved and distributed. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that the League of MN Cities Annual Conference was taking place on June <br /> 26-29, 2019 in Duluth. Mayor Paar stated that he could not attend as he has a prior engagement. <br /> Council Member Lakso stated that her hotel reservations had been made. Mayor Paar questioned <br /> whether other Council members had thought about going and if so they should contact <br /> Administrator Statz. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that the Annual Mayors Conference would be held on April 26-27, 2019 and <br /> in Stillwater. He stated that he generally attends and plans on participating this year <br /> He reminded the audience about Shake Your Shamrock being held on March 16, 2019 which is <br /> being sponsored by Kelly's Korner with registration being taken by Midwest Event. He stated <br /> that the following day a Quad Area Chamber of Commerce meeting would be taking place in <br /> Council Chambers from 8:30-9:30 a.m. He also stated that a networking meeting of the <br /> Chamber would also be taking place on March 13, 2019. Mayor Paar stated that he and his son <br /> attended the Lions Annual Fishing Contest which was very well received and organized. He <br /> stated that he volunteered some of his time at the event and felt a part of a well-organized team. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that a relative (Brother in Law) of Mr. Bob Cordell, Anoka County Radio <br /> Club and Centerville resident recently passed away. Mayor Paar stated that the City of <br /> Centerville desired to pass their thoughts and prayers on to the family during this difficult time. <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Lunch <br /> and Learn session on March 7, 2019 from 11:30 — 1:00 p.m. at the Lino Lakes City Hall <br /> Community Room where numerous Mayors will be providing a update on their communities' <br /> projects, etc. <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br />
