CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville's Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> held a scheduled meeting on March 6, 2019 at City Hall, 1800 Main Street. <br /> Present: Committee Member Kevin Waeghe, Chairman <br /> Committee Member Heidi Errickson-Grahek <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson Q <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley OPT@ <br /> Also Present: Mark Statz, City Administrator/Engineer <br /> Michelle Lakso, Council Member Liaison u <br /> Absent: Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Committee Member Chair, Kevin Waeghe called the March 6, 2019 Meeting of the Parks <br /> & Recreation Committee to order at 6:32 p.m. Results of the roll call are shown above. <br /> II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Errickson-Grahek to approve the Agenda with the following additions: add #4 <br /> under Unfinished Committee Business — Logo Contest for Fete des Lacs; add #2 <br /> under New Committee Business — Park Maps; add #7 under <br /> Announcements/Updates —Joint Meeting All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> III. APPEARANCES/APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS— <br /> Ms. Kathy Freiermuth, 7241 Mill Road, attended the meeting. Introductions were made <br /> and she shared that she came to City Hall on other business and was informed by staff <br /> that this committee was looking to fill two (2) openings on this committee. <br /> V. UNFINISHED COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> 1. GAGA Pit <br /> Mr. Palzer completed additional investigation and sent a recommendation to the <br /> committee. There was discussion regarding which park to place it in — Laurie <br /> LaMotte or Tracie McBride to begin with; this item is portable so it could be <br /> moved from park to park. Also discussed were whether the players should bring <br /> their own soccer, other types of balls or if they should be provided this for the <br /> first year. In addition, they felt that adequate signage should be provided which <br />
