CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> REQUEST FOR <br /> COUNCIL ACTION Verville <br /> Agenda Item# Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br /> WS IL1 Public Safety April 10, 2019 <br /> TITLE OF ISSUE: <br /> Fire District Succession Planning <br /> BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> With the potential retirement of the Centennial Lakes Fire Department's full time Assistant Chief, the Fire <br /> Steering Committee has asked staff to prepare information on several options for filling those duties moving <br /> forward. The attached document explores most of the feasible options. In addition to filling the administrative <br /> roll, these options look at how to replace the daytime response roll and address overarching concerns over <br /> daytime response rates. Additional information on daytime responses is attached for your review. On April 18, <br /> the Fire Steering Committee will meet. At that meeting, one of the options on the attached document will be <br /> identified as the preferred option, moving into initial budget discussions for 2020.
