City of Centerville <br /> Parks&Recreation Committee <br /> April 3,2019 <br /> continue to do the best that can be done to maintain the existing Skate Park <br /> and equipment, and work to incorporate the replacement of the equipment <br /> with a poured concrete park into the Capital Improvement Plan in the next <br /> few years. Staff would work with the committee to develop a rough design <br /> and costs. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> In addition the committee would like to evaluate the condition of all of the <br /> playground equipment&prioritize for future replacement. <br /> 2. 19-008: Fete des Lacs Management Plan <br /> There are seven parts of the Fete des Lacs Management Plan for the 5k& 8k Runs <br /> which need many volunteers. <br /> Part 1. Safety/Traffic/Emergency Communications Plan Coordinator (CLPD <br /> & ACRC) -No Volunteer(s)vet <br /> Part 2. Volunteer Plan Manager - No Volunteer(s)vet <br /> Part 3. Course Manager —No volunteer yet <br /> Part 4. In the Park Manager—Chris Bettinger(if available) <br /> Part 5. Registration & Timing Management —Michelle Lakso, Brian Peterson <br /> & Rachel Derkison <br /> Part 6. Kid's Run—Apple AcadgM <br /> Part 7. Race Coordinator(s)—Pat Branch <br /> Three to five golf carts are needed for this event. Mr. Statz will redo the matrix <br /> information sheet with places for volunteer names, with time slots. Invite Mr. <br /> Branch to the May P & R meeting. <br /> 3. 19-014: Venders for Water Ski Shows <br /> The committee members discussed having one food truck at the July 25, and the <br /> August 1 and 8, 2019 shows with possibly adding a few vendors selling arts/crafts <br /> and a couple of vendors/farmers selling market produce. A volunteer would be <br /> needed for each of those weeks to coordinate with the vendor(s). Mr. Statz will <br /> contact the Bald Eagle Water Ski Club to find out if any of their members might <br /> know of a food truck or vendors that would be interested in participating those 3 <br /> days. In addition a police officer will be needed to direct traffic. <br /> At the previous meeting there was discussion regarding bussing residents of the <br /> Chauncey Barret home to either the Music in the Park and/or the Water Ski Show. <br /> 4. 19-012: Race Flags <br /> Committee Member Peterson checked with the American Legion and has secured <br /> the use of their flags for the Fete des Lacs race at no charge. <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br />
