City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> April 10,2019 <br /> Administrator Statz stated that he attended a meeting with the Department of Health earlier in the <br /> day regarding Part II of the Wellhead Protection Plan. He also reported that he and City <br /> Attorney Glaser would be meeting with the DuFault's, 7045 Centerville Road and several well <br /> drillers shortly to attempt to understand the intricacies of well maintenance, fees, etc. which <br /> would assist with language for City Code 91, related to required connections. <br /> Council Member Lakso stated that she attended the recent P & R Committee meeting and <br /> reported that they currently are seeking two (2) members, that two names have been submitted <br /> for the name of the waterski show, food truck, etc. event on Thursday evenings and that City <br /> Administrator Statz will occasionally be able to not attend meetings due to his schedule. <br /> Council Member Love stated that he attended a Joint EDA/P & Z meeting and would be <br /> attending the EDA meeting next week. He also stated that he attended the recent Centennial <br /> Lakes Police Steering Committee meeting where they awarded lifesaver awards and discussed <br /> the body camera audit. <br /> Council Koski stated that he also attended the Joint EDA/P & Z meeting where good discussion <br /> was had regarding the items on the agenda. He stated that Commissioner Ganzel had submitted <br /> her resignation and he thanked her for her dedicated time to the Commission and stated that she <br /> would be missed. He stated that he would be attending the next Fire Steering meeting and <br /> welcomed Mrs. Katie Hogan to the City as its Part-Time Receptionist/Office Technician. <br /> Administrator Statz stated that there was a vacancy on the P & Z Commission with Ms. Ganzel's <br /> resignation, that the City has received one application and if anyone was interested to complete <br /> an application and submit it to City Hall. <br /> Council Member Montain stated that he would be missing the next Council meeting and <br /> reminded staff that work on the 2020 budget should be commencing shortly as there was only <br /> eight (8) meetings before the budget was due. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that he met with the Ad Hoc Branding Committee (Nick Twohy, City <br /> Administrator Mark Statz, Jim Weatherhead) recently where they discussed a new logo, tag line, <br /> etc. associated with the rebranding of the City. He reported that he and Trevor from North Metro <br /> completed another Mayors Minutes segment. He attended the Centennial Lakes Police <br /> Governing Board meeting where four (4) officers received lifesaver awards with one receiving <br /> his ninth. He stated that the body camera audit was discussed also. <br /> Mayor Paar addressed the audience looking for individuals that work from home to become <br /> volunteer firefighters and stated that any individual interested could contact the Centennial Fire <br /> District. <br /> Mayor Paar also echoed gratitude for Mrs. Ganzel's participation in the Planning & Zoning <br /> Commission and wished her well. He also welcomed Mrs. Katie Hogan. <br /> Mayor Paar stated that he had received an email of a newspaper clipping about the City of <br /> Centerville from 1976 from City Clerk Bender. Administrator Statz reported that Mr. Hal Liebel <br /> dropped it off at city hall as he felt that it was pertinent to the City's history. Mayor Paar stated <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br />
