DuriDg each duty shift, <br />officers are required to complete a topic -"red for that day. MOlt of the seheduled <br />training topics could be considered "high riskIlow hquency" evads. This training <br />allows officers to reftesh their knowledge and Jeview proper procedures to be <br />prepared for intiequent. events. Many m~ated information requirements are <br />covered with the daily training propam. With this program we continue to add <br />additional topics as our legislators continue to pass laws that are extremely <br />complicated, unfunded, and have very little guidance regarding proper criminal <br />pmcedure for ot1icers to foUow. <br /> <br />In 2005 this depertment teamed with Lino Lakes Police Department on two occasions <br />for seeaario-based active shooter training. The training sessions were held at <br />elementary schools and allowed citizens to act as role players.
