This eight hour course covered handcrd/ing <br />techniques, weapon retention, baton strika, chemical irritant <br />dep/oylMnt, taIrs downs, and htmd-to-hand colllbot. The day of <br />training conclllded with four hours of scenario-ba8ed training with <br />sirmmitions (shooting parafin/paint bullets during live scenarios). <br /> <br />July - August 2005 <br /> <br />Department Shoot at Anob County outdoor range. <br /> <br />This training covered SMG (stpItId rifle) and officer's sidearm <br />qwliflcatio1L It involved shooting moving targets, WIl[J01I transition. <br />seated firing, impaired vision shooting, and malfimction drills. <br /> <br />August 2005 <br /> <br />Rcspoose to Active Shooter 1raiDiDa CODductcd at Ccnterville <br />Elementary School. <br /> <br />This training war COOl'dinoted with the Lino LoItes Police Deportment <br />and involved 30-35 ojJicers, several role players, and a few school <br />stIljf members. Active Shooter I1'Ilinillg is designed to instruct on the <br />schooll1nlshress shooting incidents where a shooter i3 actively killing <br />innocent people tmd officers respond in a small team to stop the <br />threat. During this training. oJIkers fired over 500 rounds while <br />deploying 10 handguns and 3 rifles. <br /> <br />October - December 2005 <br /> <br />T&Sae Rdiesher training CODductcd at our depertment. <br /> <br />Training oJlicers conducted two hours ofT.ere deployment training. <br />Every patrol officer with this department carries a Tasere while on <br />duty. Trtlining included a written test, deploying two Cllrtridges at a <br />target and law updates. <br />
