City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 12, 2019 <br /> <br />deficit of approximately $1,000 (costs vs. receipts). He stated that this could be due to delinquent <br />account balances or receipts carried over from 2018 to 2019. He reported that fund balances, <br />th <br />expenditures, debt and tax rates are very similar to other 4 class cities and cities in Anoka County. <br /> <br />Mr. Falteysek stated that overall the City is in very good shape. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the adding of 4 million dollars in new commercial businesses which <br />will assist in lowering residential property taxes slightly, the taking over of garbage/recycling <br />billing responsibilities, shoreline repair and staff’s diligence in assisting during the audit period <br />along with yearly activities. <br /> <br />II. City Administrator Statz stated that Item #11 was added, removed from the previous <br />meeting’s agenda as at the time the City did not have money in hand. He stated that the donors <br />desired to purchase a bench, plaque, garbage receptacle and flowers for Trailside Park. Mayor <br />Paar thanked the Vidgers for their generous donation and the Bald Eagle Water Ski Club for their <br />dedication and pride in Centerville. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Love, seconded by Council Member Lakso to Approve the Consent <br />Agenda With the Removal of Item #5 and addition of Item #11, All in favor.
