City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 25, 2019 <br /> <br /> <br />ii. Other Mayoral Reports – Mayor Paar stated that he and Administrator <br />Statz recently attending a Branding Committee meeting last week where <br />preliminary logos were shown to receive input. He stated that some on <br />the preliminary logos contain French and Native American history <br />along with water, trees, sun and shoreline. He also stated it needed to <br />be something that grabs the eye. <br /> <br />Mayor Paar reminded the audience that there was a benefit for the Paul <br />Steffel family on Saturday from 11-3:00 with a pasta meal for a $10 <br />donation, a cash bar and silent auction. He stated that if anyone had a <br />donation for the silent auction it could be dropped off at MidwestOne <br />Bank, American Family Insurance or City Hall. He stated that <br />information is on the Centerville Lions Facebook page and to also keep <br />the family in their prayers. <br /> <br />Mayor Paar reminded the audience that on October 5, 2019 the <br />rd <br />Centerville Lions will be holding their 3 annual Chili Cook-Off and to <br />visit their Facebook page for more information. He stated if individuals <br />desired not to participate they could taste test the chili for a fee and <br />purchase hot dogs, pop and kids’ activities were available. <br /> <br />Mayor Paar stated that he is always asked why he continues to be Mayor <br />and he stated that he was recently invited to a neighborhood chili contest <br />to be an honorary judge. He stated that they welcomed him and he had <br />a great time. He also discussed working with the Boy Scouts, how <br />wonderful and fulfilling that is. <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Paar, seconded by Council Member Montain to Adjourn the September <br />25, 2019 City Council Meeting at 7:45 p.m. All in favor.
