City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 25, 2019 <br /> <br /> <br />i. Police Governing Board – No report given due to meeting to be held <br />on November 18, 2019. <br />ii. Economic Development Authority – Council Member Love reported <br />that discussions took place regarding the budget, Downtown TIF <br />District, Downtown zoning changes, City owned properties and <br />marketing them. He stated that with Council’s reservations with the <br />authority of the EDA additional discussions would be had moving <br />forward. <br /> <br />c. Koski – Congratulated the City on receiving the second highest scoring <br />application on the Storm Water Wetland Grant from Met Council. He thanked <br />staff and Stantec for their work. He also thanked the Centennial Fire <br />Department for honoring 911 victims and their families. <br /> <br />i. Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that <br />the next Planning & Zoning Commission meeting would be taking place <br />on the first Tuesday in October (10/1/2019). <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that a public hearing has been scheduled for the <br />October 1, 2019 meeting to discuss driveway width and parking accessory <br />vehicles on residential property. He stated that he hoped that there would be a <br />good turnout as the Commission is looking for citizen input. <br /> <br />Mayor Paar stated that families are busy these days and sometime individuals <br />desire not to speak at meetings, but if a resident desires to have their comments <br />brought forward to email the City Administrator and he will ensure that their <br />concerns are forwarded to Council and become a part of the record. <br /> <br />ii. Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that the next <br />Fire Steering was scheduled for October 10, 2019. <br /> <br />d. Montain <br /> <br />i. North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Council Member <br />Montain reported that the FCC regulations passed and funding is in <br />limbo, CenturyLink agreement finalized to cease services and <br />Comcast’s outstanding settlement has been settled. <br /> <br />ii. Anoka Fire Protection Board – Council Member Montain reported <br />that the next meeting is scheduled for October 31, 2019 <br /> <br />e. Paar – Stated that with Homecoming being this Friday, students should make <br />good choices, be safe and cheer on the Cougars. <br /> <br />i.
