City of Centerville <br />Parks & Recreation Committee <br />June 5, 2019 <br /> Acorn Creek Park – Wood fall protection is needed every 3 years <br /> Laurie LaMotte Park – Rubber fall protection needs supplementing every 10- <br />12 years. <br />Mr. Peterson will request that Mr. Statz provide that estimates be obtained to repair <br />the age’s 5-12 play structure in Tracy McBride and to replace the wood border in <br />Royal Meadows. <br /> <br />The committee would like to evaluate the condition of all of the playground <br />equipment and prioritize for future repair and/or replacement. Estimates will then <br />be needed, as well as funding sources and a specific schedule for replacement. <br /> <br />Maps were provided to the committee members of each park with the locations of <br />play structures, swing sets, benches, ball fields, picnic tables, toilet facilities, trash <br />receptacles, etc. <br /> <br />V. NEW COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Ms. Miranda Lauzon requested the use of the Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park Shelter <br />for a birthday party on June 8, 2019. This request was approved by staff on May 28, <br />2019, due to the time constraints of the event. <br /> <br />IV. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />By consensus of the committee members, the approval of the May 1, 2019 P & R <br />Committee were tabled until the July 3, 2019 meeting. The members would prefer to <br />receive them at their alternate email. <br /> <br />VII.
