CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE #___ <br />SECOND SERIES <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE #94, SECOND SERIES, 2019 FEE SCHEDULE, EXHIBIT A, <br />UTILITY FEES, CHARGES AND OTHER COSTS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE ORDAINS THE INCLUSION OF THE <br />BELOW STATED LANGUAGE AND THE INSERTIO <br />RATES (§51.02), COMMERCIAL, WATER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT FEE/BI-MONTHLY BILLING <br />Private Fire Hose Connection Rates (§51.09 (G)) <br />Private Fire House Connection Access Charge ............................. $1,850.00/REU* <br />Private Fire Hose Connection Water System Management Fee ......... $14.85/REU* <br />*Where sanitary sewer service is not provided, and therefore no MCES SAC Unit determination has been made, the <br />City shall make a determination of the number of REUs based on same or similar building usage based on the MCES <br />SAC Procedure Manual for usages which do not rely on a fixture count as a basis for calculation. These fees are <br />waived for fire connections made in conjunction with a building which is fully served by domestic sewer and water, <br />and therefore, pays standard SAC/WAC charges. <br />Water Charges will include two components. The first is a fl <br />operation and maintenance of the supply, treatment, storage and distribution system (Water System Management Fee). <br />The second fee is a variable rate to generally cover the cost of producing water (Variable Rate). For residential <br />properties, the Water System Management Fee shall be charged to each home at the rates and intervals shown below, <br />whether the home is connected to city water or not. For Commercial properties, a fee shall be charged at the rates and <br />intervals shown below, multiplied by the number of Residential Equivalency Units (REUs) assigned to that property <br />as determined through a SAC Unit evaluation from the Met Council.
