City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />May 3, 2016 <br /> <br />Amendment and rezoning were approved contingent upon Staff’s approval of final landscape <br />plan/design submission and 7265 & 7281 Main Street Comprehensive Plan Amendment and <br />rezone/lot combination were approved. Planning & Zoning Commission members had a long <br />discussion of issues raised at both public hearings and excellent discussion took place with Staff, <br />Planning & Zoning and Council Liaison Love. Both Administrator Ericson and Council Member <br />Love stated that Council, in the near future, would have to consider the best zoning for the parcels <br />when the Comprehensive Plan was updated and the broker/developer Mr. Lentch has not secured <br />plans for development which would allow additional hearings for public input regarding any <br />development except that which does not follow code requirements. <br /> <br />3. Metropolitan Council System Statement <br /> <br />Discussion was had regarding the document and the City’s required updating of their 2010-2030 <br />Comprehensive Plan. Commissioners agreed that they were interested in getting other proposals <br />for the work. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Haiden, seconded by Commissioner Koski to Recommend to <br />Council to obtain RFP’s for the City’s Updated Comprehensive Plan. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />4. Call for Public Hearing Centennial School District #12 – Preliminary/Final Plat <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that Staff had put together a timeline for submission of documents <br />and a letter outlining needed requirements to continue with the Schools desired construction <br />timeframe. Administrator Ericson stated that to keep on schedule and the School’s submittals <br />have been submitted a public hearing was needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Montain, seconded by Commissioner Mosher to Schedule a Public <br />Hearing for Centennial School District #12 – Preliminary/Final Plat. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />V. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Fete des Lacs Committee Report <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson gave a brief report of items discussed at the monthly meeting of March and <br />again invited members to participate. <br /> <br />2. 2016 City Council Focus Goals <br /> <br />Administrator Ericson stated that following comments from Council and inclusion of items from <br />the previous year that are on-going, Council approved the presented listing. <br /> <br />VI.
