CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: 12/11/2019 Engineering/Public Works VIII.2 TITLE OF ISSUE: Resolution 19-0XX Approving Plans and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids - Downtown Streets and Utilities BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The city's consultant has prepared plans for the Downtown Street and Utility Improvements Project. If the Council wishes to move forward with the project, the next step would be to approve the plans and authorize advertisement for bids. Bids would be received on January 21, 2020. If bids are in line with estimates, an Assessment Hearing would be scheduled. After taking public input and making final decisions on assessments, the council would consider whether or not to award the bid and move forward with the project. Construction could begin in early Spring.
