City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 8, 2020 <br />Lengthy discussion ensued regarding purchasing a 2-wheel drive versus 4-wheele drive, costs, <br />usage and return on investment. <br />Council Member Montain retracted his second. <br />Mayor Paar Amended the Motion, seconded by Council Member Love to Purchase Two (2) <br />20202 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Double Cab 4 x 4 Vehicles and One (1) 2020 Chevrolet <br />Silverado 1500 Double Cab 4 x 4 Vehicle. Council Member Montain Opposed. Motion <br />carried. <br />Consensus of Council was to have an April/May Work Session to discuss the Vehicle Replacement <br />Schedule (CIP). <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />1. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that he did not complete a written update. He reported that <br />Planning & Zoning held a public hearing regarding an Interim Use Permit for a Proposed <br />Memory Care Facility and that Council would be discussing their recommendation in <br />February. He also reported that the Parks & Recreation Committee reviewed skate night <br />activities in preparation for their annual Skate and Sled Night. He stated that there would <br />be no hayrides this year but fat tire bikes, kick sleds and sledding. He reminded Council of <br />their retreat scheduled for February 1, 2020 frm. at the Hugo City <br />Hall in the Oneka Room. He stated that it is an official City meeting and open to the public. <br /> <br />Council Reports <br />a. Council Member Lakso stated that the Parks & Recreation Committee <br />meeting is currently taking place in Administrative offices and she is unable to <br />attend. <br /> <br />i. Council Member Lakso reported <br />that Ms. Angel Conley has volunteered to coordinate food <br />vendors/farmers market on the same evening as the waterski shows. She <br />stated that she was very competent. <br />ii. Centennial Fire District Council Member <br />Lakso stated that they would be meeting on January 16, 2020. <br />iii. Council Member Lakso <br />stated that they would be meeting on January 23, 2020. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />i. Council Member Love stated they would be <br />meeting on February 10, 2020. <br />ii. Council Member Love stated that <br />the meeting was held on December 18 where discussions took place <br />regarding a strategic plan for 2020 and the President, Jeff Hanzal would <br />rategic Plan at the next meeting. <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />17 <br /> <br />
