City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes December 11, 2019 Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve Consent Agenda Items #1-3 & 5-6 as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. Council Member Love stated that multiple meetings take place on Wednesday evenings and may be Council would desire to consider changing the meeting to something other than Wednesdays. Lengthy discussion took place with all Council Members participating in the discussion. Administrator Statz stated that this has been discussed in the past and could be taken under advisement for discussion in the future. Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve Consent Agenda Item #4, 2020 Meeting Calendar as presented. Administrator Statz stated that the meeting calendar has not been approved in the past but he decided to place it on the agenda for discussion and consideration. All in favor. Motion carried. VIII. OLD BUSINESS Finance Director DeJong stated that the resolu and the first call date is February 1, 2020. He also stated that Council understood that upon the sale of the two City owned parcels (Commerce Drive - Shovel Ready, Ruffridge-Johnson and Midwest Best Water). Finance Director DeJong stated that by paying off the bond the City will save over $10,000 a year. He commended Council for being prudent financially and recommended approval. Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adopt Res. Several Council Members stated that by paying this debt off it will assist in the levy remaining stable throughout the upcoming years. All in Favor. Motion carried. 1. General Fund Budget and Tax Levy Discussion was held earlier in the meeting. Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adopt Res. #19- Levy. All in favor.
