City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 11, 2019 <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Items #1-3 & 5-6 as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Council Member Love stated that multiple meetings take place on Wednesday evenings and may <br />be Council would desire to consider changing the meeting to something other than Wednesdays. <br />Lengthy discussion took place with all Council Members participating in the discussion. <br />Administrator Statz stated that this has been discussed in the past and could be taken under <br />advisement for discussion in the future. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Item #4, 2020 Meeting Calendar as presented. <br />Administrator Statz stated that the meeting calendar has not been approved in the past but he <br />decided to place it on the agenda for discussion and consideration. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />Finance Director DeJong stated that the resolu <br />and the first call date is February 1, 2020. He also stated that Council understood that upon the <br />sale of the two City owned parcels (Commerce Drive - Shovel Ready, Ruffridge-Johnson and <br />Midwest Best Water). Finance Director DeJong stated that by paying off the bond the City will <br />save over $10,000 a year. He commended Council for being prudent financially and recommended <br />approval. <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adopt Res. <br />Several Council Members stated that by paying this debt off it will assist in the levy remaining <br />stable throughout the upcoming years. <br />All in Favor. Motion carried. <br />1. General Fund Budget and Tax Levy <br />Discussion was held earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adopt Res. #19- <br />Levy.
