CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />April 8, 2020 <br />Administration <br />Work Session #2 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Public Engagement Strategies <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Several council members have expressed interest, lately, in reviewing the city's public engagement strategies. <br />Currently, we utilize: Website, Newsletter (with bi-monthly billing statement), Readerboard, Legal Notices in <br />Paper, Vestibule Postings, Twitter and Facebook. All City Council Meetings are also broadcast on North Metro <br />TV and live-streamed on their website. Previous meetings (dating back to 2014) are all available on-demand on <br />the NMTV website (linked from the city's website as well). North Metro TV also does quarterly interviews of <br />the Mayor and periodic news features on issues and events as they come up.
