CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />April 8, 2020 <br />Administration <br />IX.3.a, b. <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />COVID-19 Pandemic Policy Adjustments <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />While the Emergency Declaration allows administrative staff to adjust and relax policies related to the current <br />global health crisis, we feel it prudent to bring forward issues as the schedule allows. <br />a) Utility Bill Late Fees - we have had at least one resident express a difficulty paying their utility bill timely, <br />due to a loss of income related to the pandemic. Staff is recommending waiving late fees on utility bills <br />indefinitely. <br />b) Temporary Signs - The Quad Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the other local organizations, <br />has purchased yard signs for restaurants offering take-out and curb-side pick-up.
