CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />2020-04-08 <br />Elections <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Election Equipment <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The City has purchased all of our election equipment through the County for many, many years. We are able to <br />utilize their purchasing/(quantity discounts) as they are purchasing for eight (8) municipalities and nine (9) <br />school districts along with emergency backup equipment and equipment for themselves. The County's goal has <br />always been that all of its municipalities and school districts utilize the same equipment for ease of training, <br />repair/replacement and troubleshooting. The City and County have been anticipating the replacement of the <br />Accu-Vote machine for quite some time as the State of MN is responsible for certifying the equipment for use <br />in elections.
