Centerville 2040 Comprehensive Plan 4.The Planning and Zoning Commission will decide whether or not to proceed with the proposed amendment. If a decision to proceed is made, a formal public hearing will be held on the proposed amendment. 5.Following the public hearing the Planning and Zoning Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council. 6.The City Council will receive the recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission and make a final decision on whether to adopt the amendment. 7.All amendments to the plan must be submitted to the Metropolitan Council for review prior to implementation. C APITAL I MPROVEMENT P ROGRAM The City will annually update a five-year capital improvements program which identifies major capital expenditures consistent with the Plan. The program includes public and private investments in infrastructure, park and trail development expenditures, infrastructure repair and replacement, building maintenance and repair and other planned capital expenditures. Like the Comprehensive Plan, the capital improvements planning process is ongoing and subject to modification, as appropriate.
