ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Economic Development Authority (EDA) 2020 Strategic Plan At its 4/15 meeting, the EDA considered adjustments to its 2020 Strategic Plan and budget in light of the current pandemic. Funds for rebranding efforts and other related items may be redirected to help support local businesses through advertising and other marketing assistance. A business email list is being assembled to enable better communication from the EDA to our business community. The EDA is planning a special meeting on 4/29 to review and implement business support strategies. 1737 Main Street A listing agreement is on the agenda for this City Council Meeting. EDA Revolving Loan and Grant Program The EDA plans to do another round of solicitation for applicants in the spring, but we are still actively accepting applications. The project, awarded this fall at The Southern Rail has been delayed due to weather and contractor availability.
