Other Mayoral Reports – Mayor Paar stated that he attended the recent <br />EDA meeting where discussions were held regarding rebranding and a <br />new logo for the City, banners, entrance signage and the water tower. <br />He stated that Mr. Mike Brass presented a design of a business for the <br />1737 Main Street parcel which included apartments on the upper floor <br />and commercial on the ground floor. They discussed parking for the <br />parcel and the possibility of purchasing or utilizing an abutting parking <br />lot with the potential for asphalting it for the owner in exchange for use. <br /> <br />XI. RECESS TO CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSIONS <br /> The following portion of the meeting is closed to discuss two separate matters. <br />The first is protected by the attorney-client privilege pertaining to a lawsuit commenced by <br />John C. Kelly & Jolene R. Kelly against the city. The closure is pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes, Section 13D.05 Subdivision 3(b). <br />The second is closed to evaluate the performance of City Administrator/Engineer Mark Statz. <br />The closure is pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 13D.05, subdivision 3(a). <br />Mayor Paar recess to a closed session at 10:00 p.m. <br />CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />I.
