City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 13, 2020 <br />they had a special request for Mayor Love to participate. Discussion ensued and it was stated that <br />Council Member Koski had previously been chosen by Council to participate and that Attorney <br />Glaser would forward his name to the mediator. Mayor Love stated that he was the alternate <br />previously. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz reviewed his report with the Council. <br /> <br />Council Reports <br />a. <br /> <br />i. Council Member Lakso stated <br />that the Committee held discussion regarding cancelling the Mainstreet <br />Market. She stated that the event was tied to the Bald Eagle Water Ski <br />Show and restriction were placed on them as to their schedule and the <br />COVID-19 virus. She stated that Ms. Angela Conley was a volunteer <br />who attempted to organize the event and had several vendors scheduled. <br />She stated that vendors would receive funds for their applications to <br />participate and she thanked Ms. Conley for her dedication and efforts. <br />She did state that 2021 would be a new year and it was anticipated that <br />it will be a great year for this event. <br />ii. Centennial Fire Distri No report was given. <br />iii. Council Member Lakso <br />reported that it was a large meeting with not a lot of conversation, but <br />the budget was passed. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />i. No report given. <br />ii. Council Member Wilharber stated <br />that he attended his first meeting and he was very impressed with the <br />Committee and their efforts. <br />iii. Economic Development Authority <br />stated that he attended his first meeting and he was also very <br />impressed with the Committee and their ideas. Mayor Love stated that <br />also attended the EDA and stated that the Authority is attempting to <br />assist locate businesses with rebates on liquor licenses, social media <br />boosts, collaborating with P & R and P & Z, etc. <br /> <br />Council Member Wilharber stated that he requested quite a large amount of <br />information from Finance Director DeJong recently and he was provided with <br />the information in a short period of time and he appreciated that. <br /> <br />Page 14 of 16 <br /> <br />
