City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 13, 2020 <br />c. Council Member Koski desired to thank the Fete des Lacs Committee <br />for all of their efforts and dedication in <br />stated that it had to have been very difficult for them to recommend to Council <br />the cancellation of the event but hoped that in 2021 events would be bigger than <br />ever. <br /> <br />i. No report was given. <br />ii. Planning & Zoning Commission <br />the Commission discussed driveways, parking and other ordinances that <br />they will be looking to modify in the near future similar to their <br />recommendation to Council this evening regarding driveways, widths <br />and definitions. <br /> <br />d. Montain <br /> <br />i. North Metro Telecommunications Commission <br />Montain reported that the Commission discussed their annual audit and <br />stated that it would be forwarded to Council shortly. He also reported <br />st <br />that they reviewed the 1 quarter PEG fees which were at their <br />anticipated levels. <br />ii. Centennial Lakes Police Governing Board <br />Montain reported that the Board presented several officers with <br />were typical to similar organizations of its size regarding span of control <br />but is was a clean and unbiased audit. Mayor Love added that Chief <br />Coan presented the annual report to the Board and that he would be <br />attending an upcoming Council meeting to share that also. <br /> <br />e. Love rilled to receive a comment from a <br />business owner who stated that the Centennial Lakes Police Department had <br />checked a door that was open and alerted the owner. He stated that the owner <br />was pleased that the PD was looking out for them. He also stated that a resident <br />contacted him regarding a typographical error on the Readerboard. He <br />appreciated those that are making the City their own, take pride in their <br />community and desire it to be the best that it can be. He thanked them. <br /> <br />i. Police Governing Board <br /> <br />ii. Economic Development Authority <br /> <br />iii. Other Mayoral Reports <br />a meeting with Governor Walz and stated that information on the <br />COVID-19 virus is ever changing and that discussions were had <br />regarding the affects that the virus is having on local jurisdictions. He <br />stated that he also participated in a League Board meeting where the <br />League is working diligently to assist cities with their impacts of the <br />virus (expenses, lack of property taxes, etc.) and attempting to <br />Page 15 of 16 <br /> <br />
