City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 12, 2020 <br /> <br />Consensus was that Council would commence their Work Session at 5:00 p.m. allowing for an <br />additional half hour per month. Council agreed to contact the Administrator if they were unable <br />to attend as soon as possible. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator’s Report <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that there was not an Administrator Report but Century Link <br />would be ending their delivery of TV services. He stated that they would continue to deliver <br />internet services. He stated that the Festival Committee has decided on the theme of Makin’ <br />Waves. The committee is also discussing adding new attractions and the inclusion of hiring <br />a DJ for Friday evening of the Festival. <br /> <br />nd <br />Administrator Statz reminded the audience that the Parks & Recreation Committee’s 2 <br />Skate Night was scheduled for February 15 at 6-9 p.m. at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. <br /> <br />Council Reports <br />a. Lakso <br /> <br />i. Parks and Recreation Committee – Council Member Lakso reported <br />that the Parks & Recreation Committee and Volunteer Coordinator for <br />the Main Street Market & Waterski Show which will take place from <br />mid-June to mid-August have been organizing activities and policies for <br />the event. Council Member Lakso also reminded the audience of the <br />upcoming Skate/Sled Night and stated that there would be <br />skating/sledding/Fat Tire bikes, a bonfire, free popcorn, hot cocoa and <br />s’mores. She stated that the event started at 6 p.m. <br />ii. Centennial Fire District Steering Committee – Council Member <br />th <br />Lakso stated that there would be a Special Meeting on the 18 of <br />February. <br />iii. Anoka County Fire Protection Council – Council Member Lakso <br />stated that she did not attend this meeting. <br /> <br />b. Love – Absent <br /> <br />i. Police Governing Board – <br />ii. Economic Development Authority – <br />iii. Emergency Police Governing Board Meeting – <br /> <br />c. Koski <br /> <br />i. Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski reported <br />that the public hearing was held for the Bay View Villas CUP revision <br />and discussions regarding the downtown road project and parking. <br />ii. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
