City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes July 12,2006 8. Successful Completion Year 2 & Review of Employment - Public Works Maintenance Worker Mr. Allen Anderson Motion bv Council Member Terwav. seconded bv Council Member Lakso. to approve Consent A2enda Items 1. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. and 8 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. Council Member Lakso said she was looking at the magazine subscription for $304.00 and she would like to see how important that is to the Chief and the department and whether it is worth the expense. City Administrator Larson indicated that he would ask for further clarification but he believes it is a magazine for all fire fighters. Motion bv Council Member Lakso. seconded bv Council Member Paar. to approve Consent A2enda Item 2. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. VI. A W ARDSIPRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES None. VII. NEW BUSINESS 1. City of Lino Lakes Request for Anoka County Traffic Study Relating to CSAH 54/21 st Avenue Access Issues City Administrator Larson indicated that the City of Lino Lakes and the developer for Hardwood Creek conducted an AU AR and have found concern with access into that area at 54/21st Avenue. He then explained that the City ofLino Lakes has asked Centerville for its support of a requested traffic study in that area. Council Member Lee asked whether speed is going to be looked at because that would concern him as they would then increase it. City Administrator Larson said he would doubt that speed would be reviewed. Mayor Capra and City Engineer Statz indicated that a speed study would be a specific request. Council Member Lee said that he feels it would be ridiculous not to have a controlled intersection there and anything that the City can do to facilitate that should be done. Council Member Lee said that he opposes any kind of realignment of CSAH 14 with this. Council agreed to support but asked to be included in the process. Page 6 of 11 p
