<br />City of Centerville <br />COWleil Meeting Minutes <br />July 12,2006 <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lakso. seconded bv Council Member Paar. to suooort <br />tbe City of Lino Lakes reauest for Anoka County Traffic Study relatin2 to CSAH <br />54/21st Avenue Traffic Access Issues. <br /> <br />2. Rush Line Conidor <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that this was received and the City is being asked for someone to <br />attend the meetings and being asked to join. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway said that being involved in corridor issues is important for the <br />City to make it known to the entities that the City is interested in transportation. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra supported being part of the task force and she volunteered to attend the <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar said he would not support it as it will do nothing for traffic and <br />will cost taxpayers money because people like to drive. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra said that she feels it ties in with the I35We Coalition and it is a Task Force <br />to have a say in how it takes place. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso. seconded by Council Member Terwav. to <br />aporove tbe sam ole Resolution as orovided in the oackets. Ayes - 3. Nays - 2 <br />(LeelPaar). Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. CSAH 14 Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Anoka County provided the Joint Powers <br />Agreement and there is a lot to sort out and review along with the MOD and provide <br />comments back to them. He then pointed out that there are a number of cost items to be <br />concerned with that Staff would like to further discuss and iron out. <br /> <br />Council briefly discussed the Agreement and agreed that more discussion is needed. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked whether the streetscape plan was accepted. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz indicated that they have not yet accepted the plan. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway indicated he has a lot of questions. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that he thought that the wording that was sent in was <br />close to what would be agreed to and this looks a lot differently than he expected. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that he and Staff will go through and identify the <br />differences for discussion. <br /> <br />Page 7 of 11 <br /> <br />9 <br />
