City of Centerville
Council Meeting Minutes
July 12, 2006

City Attorney Glaser said that Mr. Burstein had told him that there was no discussion but
that they are just not interested.

Council Member Lee said he likes the idea of administrative fees and does not see a
challenge coming unless the line is crossed and we should not do that.

Mayor Capra said that Centerville and Lexington were willing to implement the sex
offender ordinance but not Circle Pines.

Mayor Capra commended police department on an undercover operation that solved
some vandalism crimes in the City.

Council Member Lee indicated that the Centennial Lakes Police Department was #6 in
the click it or ticket.

City Administrator Larson noted that the City was successful in the condemnation on the
right-of-way for the backage project. He then explained that during the process the judge
selects appraisers from a list and the other party has one appraiser that was not on list
submitted and the attorney interviewed them and found out he is a friend of the appraiser
hired so the attorney wants to challenge that.

Council agreed.

2. CSAH 14

Nothing to report.

3. Parade Barricades

Council Member Lee indicated that the first quote for barricade rental was high enough to
make him consider recommending that the City purchase barricades but, after further
research, they have located a different rental company with a more reasonable price.

4. Public Works Checklist

Council Member Paar indicated that this was brought to his attention from Tedd Peterson
concerning the St. Genevieve drainage structure that is on the work session meeting
agenda and he brought up that Public Works should be a bit more involved with the
engineers and a Public Works checklist for new construction in the City would be a tool
to help keep on top of the way things are supposed to be.

Mayor Capra indicated there used to be a check list.

City Administrator Larson indicated that this may have not been caught but a checklist
may be a good thing to implement.

/.1-
