City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 14, 2006 <br />2. May 24, 2006 City Council Work Session Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested the following change: On Page 3 of 8 correct the motion to be <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked whether the Ordinance should be amended to allow for <br />administrative approval rather than requiring Council approval. <br /> <br />Council discussed the matter and agreed that this should be an administrative approval. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser indicated he would draft an ordinance amendment. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway to approve <br />the May 24, 2006 City Council meeting minutes as amended. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville May 24, 2006 through June 14, 2006 Claims <br /> <br />2.Centennial Fire District May 12, 2006 – May 31, 2006 & June 1, - June 8, 2006 <br />Claims <br /> <br />3.Anoka County Sesquicentennial – Request for Donation no to Exceed $300 <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested that Item 3 be removed for discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br />Consent Agenda Items 1 and 2 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra explained that the Anoka County Historical Society has asked for a <br />donation of $300 from cities with populations under 5,000 to help fund the <br />sesquicentennial activities being planned throughout the County. <br /> <br />Council discussed the recent issues regarding funding issues between the County and the <br />City but agreed that the sesquicentennial events should be funded. <br /> <br />Motion by Lee, seconded by Lakso, to approve Consent Agenda Item 3 as presented. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1.
