City of Centerville <br /> Park & Recreation Committee <br />March 4, 2020 <br /> Goals: Finalize Rules & Regulations, revise/approve a vendor recruitment <br />flyer & make a determination of a possible new city logo. A proposed <br />vendor application was provided. <br />th <br /> Days and dates of the Main Street Market will be on Thursdays, July 9 <br />th <br />through August 13 to run from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There will be no <br />st <br />cost to be a vendor, but a $120.00 deposit will be required by June 1. <br /> Onsite Market Manager – Volunteer Positions: which include a position <br />description, responsibilities & qualifications. A minimum of 2 volunteers <br />will be needed on each of the 6 evenings of this event, <br /> Additional details include: trash & recycling cans, benches, barricades, <br />porta pottys, will need telephone number of PW on call staff & <br />documentation of vendor attendance <br /> <br />B. Reviewed Rules, Regulations & Other Documents <br /> <br /> Motion made by Committee Member Waeghe, seconded by Committee <br />Member Freiermuth to approve the proposed Main Street Market Vendor <br />rules and Regulations as presented with the following additions: under #9 <br />add “Used/Resale………. And add #11 from Administrator Statz <br />suggestion. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. 19-020: Basketball Court Rehab Grant <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee <br />Member Errickson-Grahek to have staff apply for the Minnesota <br />Timberwolves basketball court rehab project by the deadline of March 6, 2020. <br />If grant is approved, then the funds would be used in Tracie Joy McBride <br />Memorial Park to upgrade/replace existing courts. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />3. 19-032: Fete des Lacs – Liaison Report/Update Mr. Brian Peterson <br /> <br /> Sponsorship: Add a $2,000 super sponsor <br /> Additional Outlets: Aid Electric $955 estimate includes two (2) 50 amp <br />circuits <br /> Signage: New signs are needed; funding to come out of Joint Account <br /> Petting Zoo: wristband event? <br /> Hand washing station: New to ensure there is a hand washing station <br /> Game Truck: Approximate $800 at $200 per hour <br /> Medallion Hunt: <br /> Public Safety Night: K9, Anoka County Emergency Services Drones, <br />Helicopter, SWAT, Wargo – bring 2 fat bikes <br /> Thursday evening - Water Ski Show: Ski show, bike ride, Centerville Main <br />Street Market <br />Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
