City of Centerville <br />Park & Recreation Committee <br />January 8, 2020 <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Bettinger, seconded by Committee Member <br />Errickson-Grahek to accept these donated light fixtures and requested that a thank <br />you letter be sent to the individual who donated these light fixtures. All in Favor. <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />2. 19-014: Thursday evening BEWS Vendor(s) Event Coordinator <br /> <br />There have been conversations regarding holding a longer term summer event, possibly <br />tied in with the Bald Eagle Water Ski Shows. Ms Angela Conley is interested in helping <br />to coordinate this event and attended this evenings’ meeting. She presented a plan which <br />included potential goals, logistics, and budget, types of vendors, etc. Ms Conley indicated <br />her interest to undertake this position. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Waeghe, second by Committee Member Seeley <br />to appoint Ms. Conley as the Volunteer Event Leader for the Centerville <br />Thursday Night Vendor Event. All in Favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. 19-029: Skate Night – Friday, January 10, 2020 <br /> <br />This event is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and includes skating and the following <br />activities, if available: Star Gazing, Snow Shoeing, Sledding, Fat Bikes and Cross Country <br />Skiing. The Wargo Nature Center will have staff on hand with Fat Tire Bikes, Kicksleds <br />and Snowshoes. The Public Works Department will do what they can to provide good ice <br />on the rink(s). They will also deliver the pallets for the bonfire. In addition, the Park & <br />Recreation Committee members will be providing hot chocolate, popcorn, S’mores and <br />more…….Volunteers to arrive at 5 pm for set up. <br /> <br />4. 19-030: Skate Night – Saturday, February 15, 2020 <br /> <br />This agenda item has been tabled to the February meeting. <br /> <br />5. 10-032: Fete des Lacs – update from Liaisons <br /> <br /> VI.
