Emphasis is to be on <br />creating highly animated design <br />solutions along all street frontages <br />and pedestrian ways. <br />Architectural guidelines include the <br />following: <br />Varied fagade treatment at I" Floor <br />• Provide a variety of building types and <br />styles, expressed both in large scale <br />(overall building) and small scale <br />(design details); <br />• Designs should minimize blank walls <br />along the public rights -of -way and <br />should consider all street frontages, <br />including buildings at corners, as <br />primary elevations; <br />• Emphasize transparency at street level <br />to encourage two way viewing — both <br />window shopping and `eyes on the <br />street'; <br />• Promote interesting, animated <br />architectural features without being <br />thematic or artificial. The use of <br />decorative wrought iron is encouraged <br />to evoke historical materials used and <br />fabricated downtown.
