City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 9, 2020 <br /> <br />in Centerville, (Commercial versus Residential) and the minutes reflect the appropriate party. <br />Administrator Statz stated that staff would review the video and modify the minutes accordingly. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Wilharber to Approve the <br />July 22, 2020 With the Above Stated Corrections. A roll-call vote was taken. Mayor Love <br />and Council Members Lakso, Koski, Montain, & Wilharber voted in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. City of Centerville August 27, 2020 through September 9, 2020 Claims <br />(Check #34190-34231) & (1570E-1575E) <br />2. Centennial Lake Police Department Claims through September 2, 2020 <br />(Check #13368-13391), (E2020033-2020034) & Payroll Check #13376-13378) <br />3. Centennial Fire District Claims through September 2, 2020 (Check #8891- <br />8895) & E2020022-2020024) <br />4. Escrow Agreement/Right of Entry a <br />Centerville Road (Connection to City Water) <br />5. Encroachment Agreement 1707 D <br />6. <br />and Utility Improvements <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for Council to add or remove any item(s) to/from the consent <br />agenda. <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Wilharber to Approve <br />Consent Agenda as Presented. A Roll-call vote was taken. Mayor Love and Council <br />Members Lakso, Koski, Montain & Wilharber voted in favor. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Love stated that he desired to make a co <br />was already considered. He stated that he has not received any direct complaints but was <br />disappointed in the condition of the downtown project and timeline. He stated that he has shared <br />his concerns with the Administrator. Mayor Love also stated that he shared that he desired for a <br />better job in the future with the project and the cleaning of Main Street and Centerville Road. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Preliminary General Fund Budget (Discussion Only) <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that Council will be revisiting this item up until its approval but that he <br />desired to review several areas that have been modified since the last review of Council. He stated <br />packet and it included a slight increase. He <br />also stated that the Centennial Fire District has approved their budget with a zero percent increase <br />and that is reflected. He reported that discussions have been had regarding the Capital Fund <br />contingency and he desired for Council to be comfortable with that. He stated that there would be <br />a levy increase of .79% with the changes contained. Mayor Love asked Finance Director DeJong <br />what the tax change would be to the average homeowner. Finance Director DeJong stated that the <br />increase would be something less than the .79% as new commercial property values would <br />Page 5 of 12 <br /> <br />
