<br />Department is currently hiring staff. <br /> <br />b. Koski <br />i. Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that <br />the meeting had been moved to October 20, 2020. <br />ii. Centennial Fire District Steering Committee – Council Member <br />Koski complimented Council Member Lakso for her involvement with <br />the Steering Committee and for her attendance at last evening’s meeting <br />at Station 3 for firefighters – it was great to be there to thank them for <br />what they do, good to hear comments and see their interaction with both <br />Co-Chiefs. He stated that discussions have been had regarding needed <br />equipment that could be funded through the CARES Act Funding. <br /> <br /> c. Wilharber <br />i. Economic Development Authority – Council Member Wilharber <br />stated that the Committee would be meeting the following week. <br /> <br />d. Montain – Thanked Staff for assisting him the previous day. <br />i. North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Council Member <br />Montain reported that they are working on the Franchise with Comcast <br />will be addressed at their next meeting and hopefully will be approved <br />shortly thereafter. He reported that they have spent their CARES Acting <br />Funding and made their improvements ensuring employee and public <br />safety. Council Member Montain also stated that the Commission is very <br />busy with Fall sports and they are open to the public by appointment. He <br />also reported that Century Link will be completed with their services in <br />Anoka County on November 21, 2020. He reported that there are <br />approximately 140 subscribers and they have been notified of it <br />discontinuation of services. <br />iii Centennial Lakes Police Department Governing Board – Council <br />Member Montain stated there will be a meeting of the board next month. <br />XI. RECESS OF REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Acting Mayor Montain recessed the Regularly Scheduled Council Meeting at 7:15 p.m. to <br />provide for a five (5) minute break prior to the starting of the Closed Executive Session. <br /> <br />CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />I. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSSION <br /> <br />This closed executive session is to address potential litigation related to a nuisance complaint <br />th <br />at 7353 - 20 Avenue. <br /> <br />The meeting was opened at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />1.
