City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 12, 2020 <br />Mayor Love closed the November 12, 2020, Work Session at 6:20 p.m. allowing for a 10 minute <br />break prior to the Regularly Schedule Council Meeting. <br />CANVASSING BOARD <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor D. Love called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL* <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Love <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso <br />Council Member Tom Wilharber <br />Council Member Matt Montain <br />ABSENT: None <br />STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br /> City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br /> Finance Director Bruce DeJong <br /> the noted individuals were visibly and audibly <br />present on the videoconference call. <br />II. CANVASS RESULTS GENERAL ELECTION MUNICIPAL SEATS <br />Administrator Statz stated that all needed to sign the document by noon the following day, that <br />Staff and a volunteer Election Judge, Ms. Shirley Sundquist provided residents with opportunities <br />Direct Balloting opportunities for 45 days prior to the Election <br />along with all Judges administering elections on Election Day. He stated that this process is fairly <br />taxing on a smaller community and does not allow Staff much time for additional duties. City <br />Clerk Bender thanked all Judges as the process could not be completed without them, stated that <br />the City achieved a 94% turnout, stated that more ballots were pr <br /> and the County than at the poll and thank <br />throughout all process associated with Elections. All Council <br />Members thanked staff and Election Judges for their diligence in processing all voters, providing <br />a sanitized polling location and ensuring the laws and regulations of the electoral process. Council <br />Members congratulated Mayor Love and Council Member Koski in their re-elections, welcomed <br />back Mr. Steve King and welcomed Mr. Darrin Mosher to Council. Mayor Love stated that <br />Centerville experienced a 94% turnout and he was very pleased with the response from the public. <br />Council also desired to thank resiey were aware th <br />showed patience during the difficulties associated with COVID (i.e. limiting individuals allowed <br />Page 3 of 12 <br />3 <br /> <br />
