CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: May 12, 2021 Administration VIII.2 TITLE OF ISSUE: Block 7 - Centra Homes - Concept Plans BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Staff and consultants have been working with Centra Homes' staff to explore various layouts for the Block 7 townhome development. The purpose of this exercise was to: ensure the development would be compatible with any future redevelopment of the western portion of the block, determine if there were other options for the orientation of some of the units, see if increased density would be advantageous and review various unit sizes and price points. The attached options include the original layout and two alternatives which include "no-driveway" units and a mix of unit sizes. Staff and the developer are seeking direction on the site layout in an effort to move towards the next step of a formal purchase agreement and developer's agreement accompanied by detailed plans. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: N/A REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to approve Option ________ as the preferred site layout and directing staff and developer to prepare plans and draft a purchase agreement and developer's agreement for review.
