<br />Street Light Donation <br />Public Works director Palzer has obtained quotes to install the donated lights in the <br />parking lot of city hall. This proposal will be brought forward at an upcoming meeting. <br /> <br />Music in the Park <br />Staff has requested refunds for our annual licensure through ASCAP and SESAC in the event <br />that Music in the Park is cancelled. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> <br />Centennial Lakes Police Department <br />Chief Search <br />Baker-Tilly has completed the first steps of the recruitment process by creating a position <br />profile and recruitment brochure. The position is now actively open for application. <br /> <br />COVID-19 <br />Officers are focusing on providing highly visible patrols, making sure to circle through <br />neighborhoods and let folks know they are still safe. Violent crimes are still being taken very <br />seriously, and arrests are still being made. <br /> <br />Chief Coan is filing weekly Situation Reports that are being shared with key staff and elected <br />officials. In general, our officers are healthy and have the necessary Personal Protective <br />Equipment (PPE). <br /> <br />Centennial Fire District <br />Fire District Organizational Study <br />At the 4/16 Fire Steering Committee Meeting, the committee voted to hire Fitch and <br />Associates to complete a comprehensive study operating structure. <br />The cost of the study is $25,000 <br /> <br />COVID-19 <br />Chief Lundstrom is filing weekly Situation Reports. In general, our firefighters are healthy <br />and have the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). <br /> <br />With firefighters either laid off from their normal jobs, or now with more flexible schedules, <br />our internal duty crew shifts are now being filled more regularly. <br /> <br />Recent legislation asserts that first responders who contract COVID-19 should be <br />presumptively covered by workers compensation. The League of MN Cities and others are <br />lobbying to find a funding source for these costs. <br /> <br />
