<br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />th <br />Centerville Heroes <br />The Fete des Lacs Committee has landed on <br />event. The theme hopes to celebrate local folks who have stepped up during the past year of <br />challenges. Heroes take many forms, from school teachers, to front line healthcare workers <br />to parents juggling distance learning and working from home. <br /> <br />rd <br />A meeting was held on March 3 and the committee worked out their fundraising strategy for <br />the year. While we know the pandemic has hurt our business community, we have also heard <br />from many businesses that they want to be able to help the community come together after <br />ecent announcement, anticipating the availability <br />of a vaccine to every adult that wants one by the end of May gives us confidence that the <br />events can go off without a hitch. There may be some adjustments made here or there, but <br /> <br />Adopt a Garden Program <br />on Committee has started an Adopt-a-Garden program to help <br />maintain flower gardens at city parks. If youring, please let us know <br />by emailing info@centervillemn.com <br /> <br />We have just a few gardens left! Join the fun and sign up now. <br />Spring Clean-Up Day <br />Clean-up day is scheduled for Saturday, April 24 at 9:00 AM, meeting at City Hall. All are <br />welcome to come and help out. Volunteers are dispersed throughout the city, to clean parks, <br />ditches, shoreline and other public areas. Its helpful for us <br />you announced or not on <br />the day-of. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Anoka County Business Relief Grant Program <br />The grant application period has now been closed. Applications are being evaluated and <br />applicants will be notified of their status by March 15, 2021. Priority is being given to <br />which shut down bars, restaurants, fitness <br />outlets and the like on November 20, as well as those businesses that did not receive aid <br />through the CARES Act. <br /> <br />Minnesota Technology Corridor <br />The Excipio Data Center Feasibility Study was presented at an educational seminar on <br />February 24, to various stakeholders in the Data Center industry focused on important <br />factors in data center site selection. Several attendees have already followed up for <br />additional information. <br /> <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />The Quad Area Chamber recently put out this statement: <br />We wanted to take this opportunity to announce to the Board of Directors & Chamber <br /> <br />
