Downtown Water Main <br />The application for funding through the Community Development Block Grant program <br />th <br />was submitted on the 12. This grant would fund the installation of water main and <br />service hook-ups for the downtown area. <br />PUBLIC WORKS/STREETS <br />Lino Lakes LaMotte Neighborhood Street and Utility Reconstruction <br />Lino Lakes city staff believes that a street project will be put forward, but may not <br />include adding municipal water service. <br />Labor Union Negotiations <br />A closed session is planned for this meeting to discuss this matter. <br />PARKS <br />Skating Rink <br />th <br />At the time of this report, Skate/Sled Night is still planned for Saturday, January 20. <br />Dupre Artifact Agreement <br />Consultant agreement has been signed. Work will begin shortly. <br />Parks Capital Improvement Plan and Park Dedication Fee Study <br />I attended the January Park and Rec Meeting to discuss the structure of Park Dedication <br />Fees and the need for a comprehensive study to properly justify those fees. We will bring <br />a proposal forward, for Council’s review, to complete a formal Park and Trails Master <br />Plan. <br />Centennial School District Community Education <br />I met with Community Education Director Cori Sendle to review their programs and <br />share information about the city’s recreation programming and facilities. A few ideas <br />that came out of the meeting are: <br />Sand volleyball league utilizing city’s court <br />Partnership with Bald Eagle Waterski Club for Community Ed Class <br />Community Ed programming utilizing city’s skate park <br />Finding opportunities for gardening clubs around the city <br />Programming surrounding Dupre Artifacts <br />Promotion of City’s Music in the Park <br />Cori intends to attend the next parks and rec committee meeting to share some of her <br />thoughts on these initiatives. <br /> <br />
