SEWER AND WATER <br />Trailside Park Shoreline Restoration <br />Work is complete. A pay request is on this week’s agenda. <br />Water Supply Plan <br />After reaching out to the Department of Natural Resources, this week, and asking about <br />the status of our Water Supply Plan, submitted 16 months ago, we received an email with <br />the following statement: “You can expect a letter from the DNR that incorporates Met <br />Council’s comments next week. Centerville’s plan was sent to DNR’s Groundwater <br />Technical Analysis Unit for a more in-depth review. We received that completed review <br />in May 2018. We apologize for the lengthy review time, and appreciate your patience.” <br />On June 8, we received their comments and are responding to them. The comments were <br />minimal and a final version of the plan should be ready soon. <br />PUBLIC WORKS/STREETS <br />Summer Help <br />Here’s a list of some of the activities our seasonal staff have been involved with, under <br />the direction of Tedd Peterson. <br />1.Gate valve exercising <br />2.Hydrant flushing <br />3.Repair halfpipe (skate park) <br />4.Trim trees (city wide/trails) <br />5.Gate valve repair <br />6.Hydrant repair <br />7.Street patching <br />8.Storm pond maintenance/inspection <br />9.Stop sign removal/replace <br />10.Manhole adjustments <br />11.Sanitary sewer flushing <br />Public Works Technician Position <br />New employee, James Huisenga will begin work on July 2, 2018. <br />Lino Lakes LaMotte Neighborhood Street and Utility Reconstruction <br />Bids for this project came in over budget. The city is looking for ways to reduce costs <br />and rebid. <br />Copier <br />The public works copier has been installed and employees have been trained. <br /> <br />
