Wellhead Protection Plan <br />The Minnesota Department of Health recently approved our groundwater model. Our <br />consultant is in the process of using those results to map out our new Wellhead Protection <br />Area, which is the final stage of Part 1 of the Plan. <br />Water Connection Policy and Ordinances <br />Thecity attorney has now drafted a set of ordinance additions to allow enforcement of the <br />Council’spreviousdirection on water hook-ups.These will go before the Planning and Zoning <br />commission at theirnext meeting for review. Theordinances are accompanied by a policy, <br />outlining the logistics of these transactions. <br />Trailside Park Shoreline Stabilization <br />A reimbursement request for the grant funding from Rice Creek Watershed District(RCWD)has <br />been sent for review.We hope to receiveapproval ofpayment at the next RCWD board meeting. <br />Downtown Water Main and Street Reconstruction <br />City staff is meeting with Anoka County staff to review the necessary steps for another attempt at <br />a Community Development Block Grant to complete thedowntown water and street project. <br />Next steps will include an income survey of the area. <br />PUBLIC WORKS/STREETS <br />Lino Lakes LaMotte Neighborhood Street and Utility Reconstruction <br />Lino Lakes is rebidding this contract next month.There are no plans to extend water <br />main to the neighborhood at this time. <br />PARKS <br />Pickle Ball <br />Pickle Ball court lines will be added to the tennis court at Eagle Park. <br />Mowing Contract <br />We will need to send this contract out for bids at the end of this season.The current 3- <br />year contract ends in 2018. <br />Committee Vacancy <br />The parks committee still hasone open seat. Please talk with friends and neighbors about <br />this opportunity to serve. <br />Long Range Capital Improvement Plan <br />The Parks and Recreation Committee met on August 1, and reviewed a draft of the Long <br />Range Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). This CIP would be the backbone of a Parks and <br />Trails Master Plan which would set the foundation for a well justified Park Dedication <br />Fee. <br /> <br />
