<br />December 12, 2018 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />Centennial Public Schools <br />City staff and attorney have been in contact with school officials and are making progress <br />towards the resolution of their final plat issues. <br />Part-Time Receptionist Position <br />On this agenda we are seeking permission to advertise for this position, which was <br />approved as part of the 2019 Budget. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Economic Development Authority <br />The EDA heard from our financial consultants at Northland Securities on the various <br />tools available to them, with special emphasis on Tax Increment Financing. The board <br />also welcomed new member Michael Giovinazzo and discussed implementing a <br />grant/loan program for exterior building renovations. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Comp Plan <br />There is light at the end of this tunnel! We are set to approve the final version of the <br />Comprehensive Plan to be submitted to the Metropolitan Council before year-end. <br />Thanks to everyone involved for their hard work. <br />Peltier Estates <br />Staff received a call from an attorney for the developer, working on finalizing <br /> are hopeful this is a sign that the <br />development is moving forward towards construction. <br />Ruffridge-Johnson <br />A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house has been scheduled for Wednesday, <br />December 12, 2018 at 4:30 PM. All City Council are invited to attend. <br />Waterworks Site/DeFoe Property <br />All but minor utility work and road building, including additional gravel base, curb and <br />gutter, and paving. The site appears to be in a sustainable condition for the issuance of <br />building permits over the winter months. <br /> <br />Old Mill Estates <br /> <br />
