Wholesome Health
A follow-up letter was sent, requesting a response to earlier notices regarding the need
for a sign permit.
STORMWATER/WETLAND
Centerville/Peltier Lake TMDL
The TMDLs for these lakes were completed 15+ years ago and have never had the final
step of an Implementation Plan completed and approved by the MPCA. This final step is
now in progress and should unlock important funding for projects that actually work to
reduce the pollutants identified in the TMDL study. Staff is working with Rice Creek
Watershed District Staff on the logistics of this process.
SEWER AND WATER
Wellhead Protection Plan
A public input meeting has been scheduled for March 27, at our regular City Council
meeting, to review the results of the amended Part 1 Wellhead Protection Plan. This
meeting will be noticed in the paper among other outlets.
Downtown Water Main and Street Reconstruction
City staff recently met with representatives from the County regarding our Community
Development Block Grant application. They have asked us to resubmit our application
with some small changes. We have reason to believe we will be successful with our
application and that we will be able to provide financial relief to income-qualified
residents in the downtown area for a water and street reconstruction project.
PUBLIC WORKS/STREETS
Snow Removal
Staff has been very busy with snow removal and de-icing.
PARKS
Committee Vacancy
The parks committee now has two open seats. Please talk with friends and neighbors
about this opportunity to serve.
Long Range Capital Improvement Plan
Work has begun on the final document which will be the foundation for a well justified
Park Dedication Fee.

Skating Rinks
The rinks are in good condition and have seen a lot of use during some of the mild
temperatures.
