Economic Development Authority <br />The next EDA meeting is scheduled for March 20. <br />Farmers Market <br />We are exploring a 3-week run of Thursday evenings in August, between the end of <br />and the State Fair. We are exploring lots of ideas, but may <br />try to start small with a few food trucks and vendors in Cornerstone Park, to build off the <br />crowd at the Bald Eagle Waterski show. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Comp Plan <br />Comments on our submitted plan have now been received from Met Council. City staff <br />and our consultant are working to address them. None of the comments appear to be <br />substantive. <br />Peltier Estates <br />Staff received a call from an attorney for the developer, working on finalizing <br /> are hopeful this is a sign that the <br />development is moving forward towards construction. <br />Waterworks Site/DeFoe Property <br />Landscape Plan and other items are still being worked on by the developer and city staff. <br />These documents must be submitted, reviewed and approved, prior to recording of the <br />final plat. Significant progress has been made on <br />in the past few weeks. <br />Old Mill Estates <br />City staff and the developer continue work <br />documents, prior to bringing a Final Plat forward for approval. Significant progress has <br />been made on these documents in the past few weeks. <br /> <br />Block 7 Property <br />City staff and our realtor are continuing to work with two interested parties as they <br />prepare more detailed concept plans for the Block 7 property. We plan to have those <br />proposals presented at the April 2, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. From <br />there, Planning and Zoning Commission would make a recommendation to the City <br />Council on a preferred developer. Once a developer is chosen, we would work with our <br />real estate broker to negotiate a purchase agreement or memorandum of understanding to <br />move the project to the due diligence phase. <br />Commerce Drive Property <br />At the last City Council meeting, the Council authorized City Staff to negotiate a final <br />purchase agreement with Midwest Best Water. An agreement has now been reached and <br />a formal purchase agreement will be brought forward in the near future. The architect for <br /> <br />
