<br />December 11, 2019 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />erville Elementary School Plat <br />Residents have been given until December 17 to let the school know if they would like to <br />take possession of the gap parcel or not. Once the school hears from everyone, they will <br />draw the plat accordingly and record it at the county. <br />Rebranding <br />The Rebranding Committee will meet on December 11 at 4:30 PM to finalize the logo <br />design, discuss tag lines and outline a roll-out plan. <br />Anoka County Board Special Election <br />Absentee balloting for the Anoka County Board open seat is set to begin in late <br />December, with the special election to be held on February 11, 2020. <br />The schedule for the special election is as follows: <br />AbsenteeBallotingBeginsGeneral46dayspriortoelectionFriday,December27,2019 <br />SpecialElectionELECTIONDAYTuesday,February11,2020 <br />Absentee Voting <br /> 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday - Friday unless otherwise noted <br /> 10:00am to 3:00 pm on the Saturday before Election Day <br /> 7:30 am until 5:00 pm on the Monday before Election day <br />City Hall Excess Property <br />Staff took input from the Council, at their last meeting, about interest in marketing excess <br />property on the City Hall/Fire Station campus for sale to a <br />direction was to investigate whether the land might be better used as a site for a future <br />public works garage, funded through the sale of the existing public works building. Staff <br />is working to complete this evaluation. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />The chamber helped organize a meeting between representatives of the 3 cities in the <br />chamber which have community festivals. Ideas and resources were shared and the <br />festival organizers will look for ways to help each other with equipment, advertising and <br />the like. <br /> <br /> <br />
