well.

1) What is the mission of the City Council? Is it an elected position
voted in by members of the community? Is your mission to represent
the best interest of the community? In doing so, why were most of
Centerville’s residents not even informed? Satisfying a “statute” by
informing those within 350 feet and posting on social media, is not
informing the people the Council represents.
2) Do you have a Fire Department that can handle a 4-story
apartment building? Can the Police department support another 1000
people in such a condensed spot in the middle of a new development
and Senior Assisted Living Center?
3) What about the sewer lines?
4) Are the investors paying to have the roads improved with city
sidewalks to walk on? What about playgrounds for the apartment
residents? Without something for those kids to do, it’s asking for
trouble in this BRAND-NEW DEVELOPMENT that isn’t even finished
being built.
st
5) Where is your budget to accommodate the traffic on 21 when it
takes 5 minutes to get onto Main Street now?
Some time ago, the Center Oaks 2 development off Birch Street was built on
a flood plain, which was never disclosed to the buyers. 42 brand new homes
flooded and not one had flood insurance because they didn’t know. I know of
at least one homeowner that sued and won against the builder. The builder
paid a huge fine and was shut down for 30 days. I’m wondering where the
City Building Inspectors were. What was that process?
Please listen to the citizens of this community, which by definition is “a social
unit (a group of living things) with commonality such as norms, religion,
values, customs, or identity. Communities may share a sense of place
situated in a given geographical area (e.g. a country, village, town, or
neighborhood.)

Please consider what this will do to the City of Centerville when the
management company, who has a bad reputation for poor upkeep lets the
building go downhill. Please consider what will happen to the businesses that
will go out of business and sit vacant, those that supported the community all
these years. Please vote ‘no’ to the apartment complex. I, personally, have
no opposition the rest beyond the noise of the carwash.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to your response.

Warm Regards,

Teresa Robinson
2106 Ada Drive., 651-808-5331
